Square And Rectangular Pipes

M.S. ERW Square & Rectangular Pipes are also called, Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) or Square Hollow Sections (SHS). These are used for general engineering and structural purposes. The process or manufacturing is by ERW (Electric Resistance Welded). However, in some cases Square & Rectangular Seamless Pipes may also be used. The material grade commonly used is IS: 4923 and ASTM A 500 Gr.A or Gr.B. Class in  Mild Steel Electric Resistance Welded Pipes

In ERW pipes and tubes there are  three class

1) A Class
2) B Class
3) C Class

when we think of class  is gives us sense A class will be heavier but that is not the case in erw
A) The wall thickness of A Class is less which lighter in weight and it is identified by marking yellow colour on it and it is also called light class
B) The wall thickness of B Class ERW pipe is medium that why it is also called as medium class,it is identified by marking little blue color on the outer surface of pipes
C) The wall thickness of C class ERW is more then B and A Class pipe thats why it is heavier in weigth and it is identified by marking red color on the outer surface of pipes by manufacturing companies

Cold Drawn Seamless Heat Exchanger or Condenser Tubes

Seamless Tubes and Erw Pipes are  used for manufacturing heat exchangers are usually COLD DRAWN, have low carbon content, highly malleable, suitable for bending and coiling. The tubes are annealed after drawing, straightened and undergo a pickling process that gives it an excellent blemish-free finish. Finally they are tested chemically, physically and for hydraulic pressure and other non-destructive tests such as Eddy Current Test, etc. and suitably packed in wooden boxes before shipment. Size Range: ½” od to 4” OD, W.th. 1.6mm to 9.53mm General Requirements: ASTM A 450/A 450M Grades: ASTM A 179 Seamless Low Carbon Heat Exchanger Tubes. For CDW seamless and Erw Pipe are passed through die which makes the Pipe in perfect I'd and od or it can be cold drawn into square or rectangular size with different wall thickness as per customer requirement

Rectangular hollow section

These sections are available with anti rust oil coating from inside & outside to ensure safe delivery to end customers. Our Rectangular & Square hollow sections are manufactured at the standard tube plant in the High Frequency Induction Welding (HFIW) Mills. The mill has been designed on technology provided by Kusakabe of Japan, who are the world leaders in Welded Tube Technology. Presently Ganpati Rectangular & Square steel hollow section can be supplied to IS:4270 up to maximum 200 x 200 x 7mm. We are going with our expansion plan and shall be able to provide a size range up to 250 x 250 mm squares and 300 x 200 mm in rectangular and square sections respectively. Thickness will vary between 1.60 mm to 10 mm.
